Why Tim loves telling stories

Tim grew up listening to other people tell stories. After all, it’s the primary way we learn to know each other and it’s how we develop relationships. Growing up, he never got tired of listening to a well-told story from people he cared about. Through time and experience, he grew to appreciate that everyone has a story to tell.

He’s also noticed that companies, organizations and individuals find it difficult to stand out in today’s competitive business market.

About Tim

Tim Johnson grew up in Moorhead, Minnesota. He is a graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead and his parents still live in the home where he lived as a boy. Tim was first introduced to the video production industry by his dad, who worked as a television engineer for a local TV station. Tim never grew tired of being a “mouse in the corner” in the studio or on location at a live event broadcast. It was during these experiences that he grew to know that he would one day love to tell stories with with his video camera.

Tim is a long-time resident of Saint Paul. His first job in the video production industry was as a production assistant for Northwest Teleproductions, a well-known video production studio in the metro area. He went on to work for WCCO Television, the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities, and UnitedHealthcare. As an independent video producer and storyteller, Tim has done work for a variety of corporations, non-profits, small businesses and individuals.

Tim lives in Saint Paul with his wife Joy and two daughters. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, sailing his Hobie Cat and being active in his church in South Minneapolis.
